In this world filled with so much venom, bad news, chaos, fights and struggles, it doesn’t really take time before one becomes depressed with all the sad occurrences.
Finding your happiness can be a tricky thing; today you make a new friend, fall in love, buy your car, build your house – you feel fulfilled and happy you are making and then tomorrow… anything can happen.
But that is not the kind of happiness we’re referring to. Today, we are talking about happiness that spurs from within you. Happiness that needs no external factor to influence it. How do you find such happiness?
Place value on yourself. Who are you? What are you good at? What are your values? The first step to finding your happiness is realizing who you are and what makes you unique. It doesn’t have to be in the size of your pocket or how beautiful you are, no! It should be in what lies inside you.
Be contented. Greedy people are hardly ever happy; no matter what they have, they always crave for the properties of others. Don’t be like that. When you are contented, you will be satisfied – and with satisfaction comes inner peace.
Do things you love. What do you love doing? Writing, painting, drawing, business? Doing things you love will bring you peace and happiness.
Stay away from toxic people. Have you ever been depressed just visiting or talking to certain people? If you have such people around you, then it’s either you change your company or avoid them as much as you can.
Be open to learning. You will be shocked at how much you don’t know when you open up your heart and mind. Learning gives you new insight to things, and answers to so many of your questions.
Never compete. Learn to push yourself and not others. Don’t measure your wealth or growth by how well or badly others are doing. You are only in competition with yourself, who you should aim to be better than is who you were yesterday.
We hope you find this soothing, so go out there and find your happiness.
