Want To Lose That Belly Fat? Try These Tips

July 12, 2018

One thing we women have always struggled with is belly fat. It just seems like it would never leave, no matter how hard we try. Once you eat a little meal, your tummy rushes to bulge, leaving you feeling very body conscious and embarrassed. It gets worse if you are wearing your perfectly fitted body con dress.

Do you know what? You can fight against this. Just like every other body fat, you can reduce your belly fat and get that flat tummy you so wish for. Here’s how.

Alcohol.┬áCut it! It has been proven to be one of the causes of belly fat. As a matter of fact, there’s something called ‘beer-belly.’ While you may not totally scrap alcohol off your ‘diet’, you are highly encouraged to reduce your intake. Excess consumption of alcohol increases your fat and may, with time, lead to obesity.

Reduce stress. For those of us who hardly ever have time to rest, do you know that stress can increase your belly fat? Now you know. Stress can make you gain belly fat by triggering the adrenal glands to produce cortisol, also known as the “stress hormone.” So if you don’t want that pot belly, try to reduce your stress level and participate in activities that help relieve stress.

Avoid sugar. We are pretty sure you don’t want to hear this, but we just have to remind you. Eating lots of sugar or sugar sweetened beverages will increase your fat. That is because sugar sweetened beverages are loaded with liquid fructose which can make you gain belly fat.

Eating late at night? That is one sure way to make your belly grow faster than your body. Eat your dinner hours before you go to bed to avoid gaining more fat in your belly.

Fruit Juice? Absolutely not. Although these are rich in vitamins and minerals, taking too much of fruit juice can increase your belly fat. That is because they are also loaded with sugar, just like the sugar sweetened beverages.

Exercise. We wouldn’t leave without mentioning this. Aerobic exercises are really good for burning belly fat. Squats are also super excellent. Exercising is one of the healthiest ways to burn belly fat. We cannot assure you that you’ll enjoy it at first, but we can bet you would smile in the long run.
