Most times, when we think of Yoga, we immediately dismiss it thinking it’s something that is really hard to do or we feel it’s not for “people like me.” But then, we admire women who practice yoga, at least for their flexibility. Relaxes your system. Yoga encourages you to relax, slow your breath, and focus on the present. It shifts you away from the the fight-or-flight mental state to a more calming and restorative state. This helps to lower breathing and heart rates, decreases blood pressure, and increases blood flow to your organs – thereby relaxing your body system.
Builds muscle strength. You might need to start thinking of your old age, and one way to fight against conditions like arthritis, back pain, and constant falls in elderly people is to practice yoga. Yoga not only helps you build stronger muscles and strength, it also helps you to balance it with flexibility.
